Hi
I am hoping to bring my horse up to Keele (I'm at uni there) after christmas and I would like to take her hunting as we're in close proximity to the Cheshire, Cheshire Forrest and Albrighton Hunts. However I have never been before and neither has she so I was just wondering if anyone knew anyone around there that would hire me a hunter and show me the ropes so to speak?
Thanks

You'll also be bang in North Staff's country so you could try Mark Allman at Endon Riding School, he might be able to help (he's also a Master!)

When did Mark Allman move to Endon? Are you sure he's there P? He has his own dealing yard, or did when I went to look around, at Madeley Heath in Crewe, Cheshire, started by his father Ray many years ago.

They're not far from Keele at all...with how the county boundaries lie (as the Stoke on Trent dialling code proves lol). As maggiesmum says there is always the Hamptons at Top Farm in Keele. Does it run as a hunting yard still? I know Ricky Hampton was hunting recently as he had a nasty accident (get well soon Ricky).

Never heard of Albrighton Hunt. Where are they based? As MFH09 says, you're slap bang in the heart of North Staffs Hunt country there.

Yeah I'm hoping to move my horse top farm after christmas, but they're not really hunting this year because of Jo's husband accident apparently and I mentioned it to one of the girls when I went to have a look round and she said they didn't and I don't really want to ask too much of them because of the accident. Do you have an e-mail address for Mark & Allison Allman, I treid the Endon one and haven't had a response? (I'm also one of these people who doesn't really like phones unfortunately!)
Thanks for all the help so far!

Can't help you there. Only contact details I can find are the usual name, address and phone number.

They're really nice people though, although I can't see a website for them.

You'll have to be brave and call. He'll probably tell you to pop down for a chat.

We were out with Four Shires a few weeks ago. They have hirelings who belong to the daughter of a woman called Tosh, who owns the riding school on Alsager Road, Audley. I pass it nearly every day but I cannot think what it's called! Grrrrrr

Ok cool I'll be brave and give them a ring, if you think of the name of the riding school that would be great as I suspect that's my best bet. I had an e-mail back from a man Andrew at Endon saying that they don't do hirelings so any other options are greatly appreciated!
