Hunting 1st October!

The boy will be going out for his 2nd ever hunt on 1st october, he's never been clipped as of yet, but will be this year, we have been gradually getting him used to it. At present he is just starting to get a bit woolier, but nothing too bad! Would you guys be clipping for 1st October, or just take him as he is? x

we've been going a fortnight :D the very woolly greys have had trace clips. The bays will probably be done at the end of the month. I judge it on how sweaty/likely to lose condition they get..

Spotty pony actually been clipped two times all ready, once before beach and then everything off including legs before her first meet, but if she gets to sweaty she gets rather annoyed and it affects her breathing more. Bay pony had her first clip of the season on mon, I tend to clip when they sweating a fair bit and wooly, as think if coat too long and they are sweaty they'll feel the cold more and take longer to dry and then possibly lose condtion quicker
