I have a wonderful one-eyed ex polo pony who i would love to take hunting. Her previous owner informed me that she had never jumped, however I have recently been to a few sponsored rides and she has proved brave and capable over everything I have pointed her at.
I have never hunted but I would love to try. I lost my confidence jumping on my other horse following a bad fall, however this mare is definately restoring it as she is a kind and willing girl. We are comfortable up to about 3foot at the moment but I wouldn't want to push it much higher than that for both our sakes! She is fizzy as hell but she has immaculate brakes and the worst she ever does is a bit of jogging on the spot.
1) do you think that the jumping would be too difficult for us?
2) does anyone know of a hunt that is close enough to west london to go for the day?
