Well we had the hunt in our area last week and we were not given very much notice that they would be in the area. 24hours! I like to plan my week as I have work and family commitments to factor. Then when they were here, there was a huge argument because a couple of antis had turned up. Now I know that the Atherstone are regularly plagued by antis but someone is obviously leaking the meet information from the inside. I'm not for or against hunting but I don't like the disruption it causes to the livestock on our farm and I wish I could do more about stopping them coming near us.

It is perfectly reasonable to ask any pack for more than 24 hours notice that they will be in your immediate vicinity, so that you can organise your life and livestock appropriately. IMHO, a minimum of 7 days notice should be given. Whether you will be given more than 24 hours notice, or indeed any notice at all, is another thing..

You can't expect them to stay away from your whole area, though, but they should not trespass on your land.

Good luck.

Thank you, I shall be requesting them to give us more notice in the future. It's events like this that don't help them to maintain or build relationships within the community.
