Would it be terrible awful to turn up wearing short boots and half chaps? Nice smart Ariat ones! Trying desperately to get my fat calves into my lovely new long boots!!!!
I've spent several seasons autumn hound exercising with Ariat boots/gaiters - and so in fact did several other people including the huntsman at our last hunt so I think you'll be fine!
OH hunts in shiny black ariat cobalt pro's and ariat close contact gaiters, and no-one has ever said anything - don't see why it would be a problem if they are clean and smart and appropriately coloured.
