Hunting for Newcomers

I live just outside of Basingstoke and am looking for a hunt to join for Autumn hunting as it will be our first time out. Apparently my horse has hunted in Ireland as a 4 year old, but I never have, so any suggestions for the best hunt in the area to join for the day?

Don't really know that area but baileys hunt directory is probably a good starting point.

Which side of Basingstoke are you? The Vine & Craven are kennelled about 5 miles to the West of Basingstoke, so they are probably the closest. I think the Hampshire hunt all the South of Basingstoke, and the Kimblewick the country to the North (but they have a very big country, so not many meets close by). Do you have your own transport or do you need meets to be in hacking distance?

If you haven't hunted with him before, it would be best to start off with Autumn Hunting (calmer/slower than full season) -which luckily will be starting soon!
