Where can one find out what each blast signifies? I have tried asking my fellow mounted followers, but they tend to be as clueless / vague as me

And thank you, Sharky... Better not have a play with it at work, otherwise they will a) know I am definitely time wasting and b) think I am even odder than they suspected :D

I've bought a horn to practice - i use it in the car on the way to work (M25 is boring). must seem a strange sight - a man in a dirty jeep blowing a hunting horn.

Takes a while to get the right noise and action for a non music person like me.

I thought about getting a ringtone but imagined the problem if it went off whilst out following hounds. Not a popular person:eek:

it was bad enough when it went off while you were hacking out!!

I made the mistake of having my phone on an audible setting whilst riding out bareback one summer. Cue being nearly bounced off the little terror as he was boinging all over the shop like zebadee looking for the hounds!:D

I've made this mistake as well  my phone started blasting gone away, and we went from walking along on the buckle to cantering sideways down the lane. Good for waking him up in the school though :D
