I am planning on going hunting on sat but the forecast is heavy rain! Have been of a few hunts this season already but have been really lucky and had nice weather!

Two Questions- Do hunts usually go ahead if its raining heavily and what can I wear to stay dry??

Thanks

I've never known hunting to stop because of rain. Have to admit i'm quite traditional and wear exactly the same - a good Wool hunt coat will keep you pretty dry. Unless you're with the poshest hunts a waterproof of a discreet colour (with no red) is fine to wear over the top of your normal hunting gear. Once you're going you won't notice the rain so much. You can put a spare pare of gloves in pockets or under the girth straps and a good hip flask will get you through the day!

Yep, in the west of the country, because they get so much rain, it's OK to wear a mackintosh/waterproofs.

Here in the East of the country, it seems a point of honour not to do so. :)
