hunting jacket for showing also?

Hi,
I really like the idea of a navy jacket for hunting and showing, quesion is can you use a hunting jacket for showing throughout the summer aswell? i dont want to invest in 2 jackets so i figured if i bought a winter hunting jacket could ialso use it for dressage/jumping shows etc? i know the showing jackets have velvet collars but really dont want one of those ones for hunting??

You can buy a black show jacket SO cheaply though! Why boil?? Actually if you are a size 14 a friend recently offered to sell me her hunt jacket rather than me buying new - it was a thin show jacket I doubt she'll want much for it! xx
