Last season I had an unscheduled departure and a quick lesson in how to slide down the trunk of a tree.......I ripped the seam on the arm of my jacket and also managed to get a tear in the wool too. Brilliant!

Does anyone know of where I can get my jacket repaired and also tailored.

The jacket would fit me better if it were tailored but it needs repairing before I can wear it this season.
Any suggestions?

Ring Calcutts in Sutton Scotney Winchester, they do tailoring you should be able to send it in the post for the to repair. They are very helpful, I rung them for some green cloth for my sisters' hunt coat collar and it came the next day. If they cant repair your coat they my knoe who can.
Alternativley try Frank Halls in Market Harborough they are hunt tailors.

Ahh brilliant. Thanks for the reply.

I have just sent them both an email. I will see what comes back.

I am also looking for a glass conical hunting flask with a bayonet screw cap to fit into the leather holder that I bought at a local auction. Any suggestions?

I don't want to be paying mega bucks but I am struggling to find anywhere that I think is reasonable.

The glass ones go for silly money! Easily over £150. I have one but have switched to a metal one as I don't want to break my glass one! Had horse roll over with me still in plate Kid of skidded along the ground on side before rolling over!
Metal one was £30!
But I don't want to sell it sadly!
