If you are 16 then you should stay in tweed really to be correct. Also if you are a member of the pony club you should wear you PC tie with it.
Ladies wear blue or black, Gents wear black unless they have their colours & in Scarlet.

Kick on & enjoy!

I was going to say it also saves you having to buy a 2nd jacket, plus I think they look very smart personally!

Is it very wrong for someone of 21 to hunt in a tweed jacket? I'm currently riding a lovely pony and would like to take her out just for the odd day if I can. I only own a tweed jacket and don't really want to buy a black/blue just for the few days on which I may be able to take her out.

I don't think it would be wrong for you to hunt in a tweed jacket. Our hunt committee were considering whether everyone should wear tweed so less attention is drawn to hunt staff etc by the antis. (We have lots of solicitors involved with our hunt!) If I go out this season I would have to wear my keepers tweed as I can't fit into my very expensive hunt coat!

No it is not wrong by any means! Like you say it is not worth you buying a dark jacket for only a few days out!
