I want to buy a hacking jacket to go hunting in. Do i need a certain colour jacket or does it not matter, and what colour stock do i wear. Sorry to be so thick but i don't want to turn up with the wrong colour and feel a right wolly.

Hacking jackets are generally worn by younger people (under 16, 18 or 21 depending on the hunt) and sometimes non-subscribers are expected to be in hacking jackets too (rather than blue or black).

In terms of colour of hacking jacket, most wear green, but some will be in blue or brown. Green or brown are the most versatile, because they can be used if you want to show too.

I only hunt about twice a year and just pay by cap fee. I was thinking about getting a green one then i could use it for my BE events as well, is green OK for eventing?
