Hunting Jackets

I'm thinking of buying a new hunting jacket. I have seen two that Shires do, has anyone got one from shires, and if so what is the fit like and also quality? Or if anyone can recommend some jackets that would be helpful. £200 is my budget.

Look on eBay. There are some really good value ones second hand. Or look on amazon (I know, not the normal place for hunt gear). I bought a lovely new caldene one for about £226 and they are normally over £400.

My friend has one from Shires, I think its a good jacket for the money. Had its first test out hunting when the rain went torrential and she stayed dry, though she said it was getting heavy! No use for me though since I'm taller and longer in the arms, tried several off the peg makes before giving up and ordering a m2m and I am eagerly waiting its arrival!

If you can find one to fit, I would go for a second hand one from one of the better tailors. There are several sites that specialise in second hand hunt wear; they will last you a lifetime.
