as the title... I havn't hunted before, but would love to go along... does anyone know which my nearest hunt is? I have tried the countryside alliance website with no joy
hunting near edinburgh?

It depends on how far you wish to travel and which side of Edinburgh you live.
I have hunted with the Lauderdale and the Duke of Buccleugh hunts....but I have no idea whether they are still hunting these days.

Lauderdale had their first meet on Saturday - they are still going strong.
Buccleuch hunt also still going strong, as is the Berwickshire hunt.
There was also the Kindgon Bloodhounds in Fife but not sure if they are still going.

thank you! - sorry for slow response, I have just started uni at edinburgh so am in pollock - near the palace (south side? don't know which side you call it lol)
im only investigating really - i have some sort of vague daydream that i will be able to afford to hire a horse to go hunting on (although apparently is extortionate), as the uni riding club does little to replace riding every day at home!

Give me a shout if you want details. Lauderdale regularly hunt on our patch, but the Berwickshire are worth a try too. Also have details if you need to hire.
