Must have been a popular day for first timers. My friend's boss offered me a pony and her services as a nanny for my first day. Felt very nervous in my smart new (to me!) hunting kit as I mounted my partner for the day. We had a short hack to the meet, although the port did little to help me relax.
Stayed at the back with my babysitter away from crowds and trouble, which was the best place to be while I got used to my steed. Everyone was really nice, once they got over the shock of seeing me on four legs and not two wheels! Had some nice trots and canters with the field, finally called it a day just after 2pm and after sorting the horses went car following, somehow ended up in the pub to celebrate surviving my first day.
Can't wait to go again, so watch out master!
