Hunting peeps - how many years have you been hunting for??

I've just worked out I'm on my 17th season!! I'm 24! :grin:

Still loving it as much as ever! :grin:

hmm...well...first went when I was....6? 7?

but due to lack of horses/not being in the country...

I first went when I was 6 - but that was only a couple times on the lead rain so that doesn't count!

I've only ever been a Saturday girl though (Damn school, uni and job!!) but I've been a regular for 17 yrs!! God i feel old!

I used to skive school to hunt! I reckon this is my 23rd season but could be a year out either way. Not always with the same pack though.

I first went when I was 5 (mum said I had to be able to mount on my own before I went), and hunted full seasons until I went to uni, since when I've gone when I could. I've been a subscriber for 18 years out of 24

I've been since I was 6ish, bar a couple of horseless seasons. I started my day's idolising you Sarah, I wanted to be big and grown up just like you!

was a saturday lesson girl for so long and i literally begged mum to let me have a pony (non horsey family and i was at boarding school).... saved up my own money and borrowed horses at 16/17 to go to PC! did hunting once or twice until i got my own first horse... at 18! so that's probably when i first went hunting properly and alot. Had 2 year break as i was travelling round the world. So at 30 now i have probably hunted 10 seasons.

Hmm, 9th season although the last few years are a bit hit and miss due to not really having anything old enough/sane enough to hunt properly! So actually only really hunted 6seasons. Did used to do Thurs though...best day with the SN!! )

i first went with the Border Counties Otterhounds in 1969 aged 5

I bet you know my OH and his family too then, he'd have been 9!

In my 25th season on a horse - am 30. Think I was going on foot before I coudl even walk!!

I did. Every Wednesday that a meet was close enough to hack to. Used to ride with my Spanish Teacher, he mitched off too.

I hunted for 25 years before moving. I miss it so much.
