Hunting studs

Hi I have been hunting in Ireland for the last few seasons & I am going to hunt with a more demanding pack this season in terms of bank & ditch jumping,I am told locally that my horse should be shod behind with caulk & wedges for grip on greasy banks,I am worried that they will be not so comfortable for the horse when doing roadwork on the hunt,the horse is exercised on a gallop at home so no problem there,I don't like the thought of him standing uneven in his box,perhaps there is a removal stud that would do the job,hoping some of you guys can throw some light on the subject as the feedback I'm getting locally is a bit vague.

No studs. Seriously you don’t want one of those causing you damage if you fall off

If you’ve a good farrier caulk and wedge would do the trick.

We used to use road nails, I’ve never hunted in Ireland but maybe @gunnergundog could advise?

Go with the local knowledge . Uneven footfall on roads is not a great problem ,just take it steady. A horse doing the splits under power over a bank can be long term rest or game over

Never studded for hunting. The damage they could do could be catastrophic.
