Under the impression showing rules apply to hunting, in that I dont have to plait my Welsh C?????! If this is the case, how does she need to be turned out? thanks :)

How long and thick is the mane? We always do a running plait in my friends traditional cob. It looks nice and keeps the mane out of the way of the reins.

clean and smart with mane well brushed is acceptabel on M&M. I hunt my highland, whos manes is massively thick and long and leave it loose (plaiting not an option).

My sister hunted a true Welsh C who was au naturel- his mane was well over a foot long, and very thick and wavy! I did a running plait, keeping it tight to his crest and just did his tail as I would any other horse- normal plait to the end of the dock and then plait it back up again... Kept it out of the way and looked very smart.
