Have just been watching my motley pack of bantams chase a squirrel and a rabbit around the lawn. Admittedly, not banned species, but was this cruel? After a protracted chase, OH shot the rabbit. He didn't shoot it at the earliest opportunity, we were laughing too much.
Lurcher caught the squirrel.
Rabbit stew anyone?
Or squirrel, if you prefer it...

I came across a pretty fearsome hen pheasant with chicks. It kept running at me in a most aggressive manner. I thought of calling my dogs over but I think they'd have been quite disturbed by it.

Squirrel are illegal to hunt.

I have a cat who hunts foxes. She chased it round a bush in our garden for a good ten minutes, bleeding hilarious, if you ever needed a substitute for hunting with hounds, this was it.... We didn't have a gun to hand so we had to let her eventually chase it off our land. We've seen her go for foxes three times now, so we're certain she does it without audience too.

Illegal?
