i did put this in the hunting forum but thought there might be more replys on here
just wondering if anyone on here hunts with coakham i was thinking of doing some of thie days and although i will call their secateries about what type of form some of the meets take i am just wondering if anyone on here regualary hunts with them
thanks

I have been out with them a few times, but not for about 3 yrs.

It is fantastic brilliant fun. I liked the fact that you do your line .... have a rest, do another line, have a rest, hack to the next line and do it... much better for my pony as she didn't like the random hanging around that you get/got with fox hunting.

She's better now though!

do you not hunt with them at all anymore then?

They are meeting just down the road from us in a few weeks time and I plan to turn up and have a nose (on foot). I'd love to take my cob but neither of us will be fit enough. I've also not hunted her but was told by her previous owner that she 'LOVES' hunting - not quite sure how to interpret that :p;). Guess it means she either means she does it smiling or she spends her entire time wheeling around in an adreneline frenzy!

ohhhhh which meet is that XD

Probably the nicest people you could hunt with , but quite mad!!!!! in a good way , but they are very quick and fearless . Some of the kids that hunt with them make me look like a complete wuss . Now too old to join in

Arghhh - how old is too old? And how quick is very quick??? Maybe I need to go and watch an earlier meet and then make a decision.........on whether we are both fit enough (and I am brave enough)......

i am planning on calling the secatary about what type of meet it is, if its a big hedge day i wont do it but by then my saddle should be sorted out so i am gonna go and give ti a try hopefully XD
