Hunts in Monmouthshire

Hi I have just got my new horse and want to go hunting after Christmas. I live between Monmouth and Abergavenny and seem to be spoilt for choice with hunts. Are there any other SouthEast Wales people out there who can help me decide which to go out with?

Sounds like the Monmouthshire could be a good one for you. Meets in and around Abergavenny and Monmouth, in fact the boxing day meet is outside the Angel in Abergavenny itself-is usually a pretty good hunt with some decent jumps too!

Another possibility could be the Brecon and Talybont, maybe a bit too far for you (although a good hunt if jumping is not your thing) Only two meets I know of are the Boxing day one in Brecon itself, and the NY one in Crickhowell outside the Bear.
