I am very much in a celebratory mood. Tempting fate, I know. But ... I have had a few most wonderful hacks on my 8 year old gelding. He has been so terrified of going out on his own but finally can hack out for 90 mins over the Downs without a single meltdown. I've been riding on the buckle at times!

His 2-year-old sister is doing really well with voice comnands, groundwork, walking and trotting calmly round our village, loading and going for short lorry trips. Their mum is practically sound after a winter of 2/10ths lame.

What could possibly go wrong!?😬

Is that your beautiful buckskin? How big did he make in the end? I cant remember if I've asked before, but I remember he was very dainty for a long time and you wanted him to grow

Yes, that's my boy. Here he is. He's still got spindly legs but his body has filled out. He's 15 hh. He still has his moments though. This week we went to a school hire at a rding school and he caught sight of a line of coloured gypsy cobs with long manes and feathers going for a hack together and completely freaked out crushing my hand against the lorry. Blood everywhere.
