I've just bought a horse that is supposed to have hunted with the hurworth, I'm trying to find out any history on him. Good or bad!
He's a 17.2HH bay gelding, named Josh although that won't necessarily have been his name. He's supposed to have been cubbing this season and may have been the whips horse.
PM me please if it's bad news! lol

Bloody hell, 17.2? If you had wanted one that big you could have had my dad's big lad! Hope to see him out with the Rockwood soon chick, perhaps? Has dunc been sold then?

Don't know what his name was, just that I picked him up from a dealer so could have another name? I've since called the secretary of the Hurworth and he's definately not been there.
Hi Rosie, yes Duncan's gone, to the Ludlow in Shropshire as the huntsmans horse. The chap just turned up out of the blue and after riding him round the paddock for ten minutes said he'd have him. Took him the very next day and hunted him the day after, he's been fab. They're desperate for another one too, say there's a shortage of hunters around at the mo

Can I ask which dealer you got him from, ( I used to work at a yard near Stokesley ).
I too like to find out about my horses history, even just out of interest, I did so well with my mare I found her bloodlines dating back over 300 years ha ha. I know her whole life history now, a lot of which explains why she is the way she is. :)
