Well, really getting panicky about this now as if we're doing AI i need to get it sorted ASAP!!!

Anyway, just emailed the owners of this gorgeous dog to see if they are able to ship semen, and if they're happy to let us use their dog on Maya of course!! He has some offspring in the UK I think, but he came very highly recommended and on looking him up on t'internet I think he could give us a very special litter so fingers crossed the owners do AI with him as I havent got time to get a passport sorted for this year lol He is tested clear for fanconi and is hip and eye tested too so thats all in order.

Here's his website:

He's very eye catching. They complement each other beautifully - very elegant! Must post lots of piccies if you get puppies!

Eta I like the dog on their homepage too

Very nice, fingers crossed! And good for you for freshening up the gene pool.

On another forum I frequent (but don't post very often, they make us look like a very fluffy friendly bunch indeed :p :D), a Basenji was used to illustrate absolute suspension in the trot, and both these pictures prove why!
I love the movement.

Viggo is the black and white boys half brother :D He is stunning too!!

The movement was one of the things that first attracted me to the breed. I saw Mayas mum trotting around in the group ring several years ago and was just speechless, it is absolutely beautiful to watch a basenji move, so effortless and elegant. There is nothing more stunning that a basenji with good movement IMO, sadly this is lacking in some :D

It's the ground they cover, stunning agreed! I like the Pharos too - noticed they have those too. Just elegance from head to toe in both breeds especially through those necks.

Yes, I love the Pharohs too, very elegant! A bit big for my house unfortunately but i can certainly see the two breeds being a very good mix to live with :D
