Husky/Akita/Malamute/Northern Inuit

Maybe let them know that the RSPCA usually have dog traps, or could point these people in the right direction for one. (I don't do facebook) They need to set up a feeding station for the dog and leave water in a bowl. It maybe that the dog will start coming to the station and respond to people if it sees them.

Failing that and a trap has to be set, put up signs to make others aware re trying to trap dog. They're must be at least 4/6 responsible people who are willing to do a shift on checking the trap throughout the day and night - without fail. They may find they have caught a fox, badger, instead so will need to release it asap. Plus if dog is successfully trapped, need contingency plan to remove from trap safely and transported to? where ever. It may take several weeks or they could strike lucky quickly. Hope this helps.

I was once part of a team that managed to catch an abandoned GSD that had a litter of pups in woods. It took us 4 weeks. Got mum and pups (she did keep moving them at first) and all the effort paid off.
