HI
I was going to treat my son for a day out on horse on Monday and thought maybe box to Hyde Park and go for a hack. I have been on Hyde Park website and It does not say if you can just turn up and ride or not. If anyone knows please let me know thanks

Or if anyone knows of anywhere else worthy of going for a day out

thanks

I rode in Hyde park in July but went with Ross nye stables as they let you canter and I had heard the other one doesn't. We prebooked. Can't recommend them highly enough. Only thing tho I think they send their horses off for a summer hol so not sure if they are open at the mo. I would guess that whomever you go with you should pre-book to ensure they have suitable horses available. I loved riding through the park and can't wait to do it again!

It might be worth sussing out somewhere to park your lorry before you go - I can't think of anything more frustrating than having the horses on board and being itching to go for a ride, and not being able to find somewhere to park.

I am fairly certain that members of the public with their own horses ARE allowed to ride in Hyde Park. The only reason you don't see many private individuals riding there is because *gasp* there aren't that many privately-owned horses stabled near the Park.

Oh with you now, wouldn't imagine you have to arrange in advance but prob worth a quick call. You can ride in Richmond park too I think, I haven't been there myself tho
