Hydrogen Peroxide

Ellie has thrush and I have always used Hydrogen Peroxide to treat this. However, trying to purchase any in my usual old suppliers, chemists, was nigh on impossible. I have found one out of the six I tried who will order it in for me but the others don’t stock it and won’t order it in either.

Now I actually have some on order I am wondering what % I should have got. I used to just go in and ask for some, they would plonk a bottle on the counter and I would buy it. Yesterday I got asked if I wanted 3%, 6% or 9%. I ordered the 9%, will this be OK? I have looked online and it seems it will be, but just wondered what percentage you use, if you use it?

Get mine from Boots and have never had a problem, sure I have the 6%......

We use 9% but are careful to try and not get any on the hair, at this strength it does bleach

I get mine from Tesco - pharmacy section. Not sure of strength but it works for thrush.

Got my last bottle from Superdrug. Have they said why they no longer sell it?
