Hi

I am getting near my wits end, with trying to help my brain stay stable when I hit an anxious situation.

I have tried whilst riding, putting myself out of my comfort zone, drag hunting, riding different horses and these have all helped in my riding tools and skills they have not helped my brain from shutting down when something happens that I have been unable to process.

I am very self analytical, have read books, been to sports psychology group chats and tried tapping.

I thought I had overcome a lot of the anxiety, but at the weekend, I hit a shut down again, got so bad I couldn't even think of my middle name :(

Thinking my last resort is now to have some one on one therapy.

Can you tell me your experiences good or bad please ?

Many thanks

I'm not sure whereabouts in the country you are, but there's a fantastic lady in Scotland who could help... https://www.facebook.com/horseridingwithconfidencescotland/ I saw her speak at a workshop a few weeks ago, and she would be ideal to help talk you through the problems, do some one-on-one sessions, and maybe even hypnotherapy.

Good luck, hope you manage to speak to someone suitable soon.
