I'm hoping to breed from my mare in a couple of years time with the aim of breeding something for me to keep but something that is saleable should circumstances change. For my personal use i'd want the foal to have the ability to easily complete at the lower affilated levels in all spheres, but with the potential to maybe go further if my riding were to improve.
My mare is about 16.1/16.2hh (haven't measured her since she was 5 and I think she is probably more at the 16.2hh mark now) and is by Dutch Falco (Animo/Alme) and out of a Hannoverian x TB mare by Hazelbank Adler ( Louella Aderlass/ Absatz) with Sandside Bay on the TB side. She has the easiest, laid back temperament most of the time but as with most horses, does have the occasional sharp day but not nasty at all.
Performance wise she has a good, scopey jump and nice straight paces but would probably benefit from a bit more movement.

Conformation wise (pants phone photo's) :

Just a hypothetical question really to see what type of stallion you think may compliment her and add more movement.

Having seen Stedinger for the first time this week and seeing the pictures of the Stedinger foal also i think he looks a cracking stallion and definately has a lot of movement.

Any sharpness from your mare I would say will come from Dutch Falco, through the Animo blood. Animo horses can be very sharp!

I find sometimes doing the hypothetical breeding is not so easy when you are thinking two years away, because so much can happen in the breeding world in that time, as in stallions may die or you have the new rising starts etc. Plus stud fees go up etc.

As she has the Animo blood in her I would not suggest any stallions with fizziness in them, i.e. Jazz etc. It also depends on whether you have a preference for colour, type, breed, whether the stallion is abroad or the UK etc.

As Anastasia has said - I wouldn't start looking this far in advance.
I am new to breeding with TBs and started looking last Summer, giving me the chance to see horses competing and the opportunity for me to investigate the breeding of those I liked. If you start too early, some stallions may die or are removed from commercial breeding and likewise, new ones are graded and become available for use.

Damn photos...will try get some different ones up !

Yep, i understand that it is very early to be looking seriously at stallions but i'm very excited about the prospect at breeding from my mare! It'd be great to get some opinions on what sort of stallions would compliment her, what her weak points are etc. and have a few ideas from there to look around stallions, keep an eye on progeny from some stallions and have an idea of what sort of stallions to look out for that may be new and upcoming etc.

As for preference of colour, type, breed, whether the stallion is abroad or the UK etc. I am particularly interested in coloured horses (and not just because they're fashionable) and am going to be doing 5 months work experience at a coloured sport horse stud in Germany this Summer which i'm VERY excited about. However i don't want to breed just for colour, but it would be a bonus!
Breedwise i'm not too concerned but generally think another WB type would be best for her as i don't want to put her to anything as big as an ID and i'm not generally keen on TB's but if it were a TB stallion that would be most likely to compliment her then i'd be silly to ignore this.
Type ... i prefer short coupled types to the larger, rangier types but obviously with wanting to improve apon movement it is quite likely that these sorts of stallions wouldn't necessarily be short coupled, but probably a bit 'bigger' generally.

I'll try a couple of pics, they don't show her at her best as she had only just come back into work from time off with an injury at this point and is a very good doer !
