i’ve bought a pony!

after the scenario with lily, i decided to start looking for another - various reasonings that i dare say i don’t need to explain lol.

after being well and truly messed around by one, driving 4 hours each way to see one that was far smaller than described, and seeing countless photos of horses that look nothing like the ones on the ad, i’ve bought one that’s actually stabled where my mum is and i’ve known and liked for ages😂

she’s a 4 year old section C, very very pretty but very very fat🙈

i’ll attach the only photo i have!

Very pretty indeed, and a lovely head on her.

Who's she by and what are your plans for her?

she’s by dycott touch of class out of gywllan bridget jones, her dam has always been on that yard and i’ve always thought she was a lovely girl🙈 i’m hoping she’s going to be a workers pony eventually, but she’s a complete blank canvas so first priority is to get some of the weight off and get some manners! she’s sweet as can be, but i know she’s been allowed to be the boss which simply will not wash with me😂

she’d been lunged a bit/worn tack etc, but i think my safest bet is to just start from the beginning so i know it’s all been done properly! lots of long reining, i don’t want another that’s scared of her own shadow lol

She’s gorgeous!!

Is Lily doing ok for now? ❤️

she’s doing well, she’s kept her head (mostly) with the in hand walking, but the other horses have all gone out today without her and her new party trick is rearing in the stable - wouldn’t bother me if she wasn’t injured! she’s never reared until this🙄

i’m actually moving both the girls to our new yard on thursday, not as polished and pretty but so much better setup with horses in mind (i’m looking at you, year round turnout)

she’s being such a madam, i’ve been sent videos of her doing it twice now but there’s zero signs of stress at all, i think it’s all the pent up energy bleed her. ears are pricked and her tail is up, it’s like she’s getting ready for a blast then remembering there’s nowhere to go so instead she goes up😬

Well BB is an excitable rearer but never malicious, he can rear right in front of you holding onto the end of the rope and he would never hurt you

Very nice. My sister's old mare was that sort of colour in Summer, I really like it.

she’s actually still clinging on to a lot of her winter coat, i don’t think she’s had much of a brush recently - her and lily both go bright bay in summer, and currently lily is practically orange whilst she’s definitely brown😂 she looks almost dun on the first photo, but i’ve no idea when that was taken!
