It's a sad day!

I have just been called 'sir' in Sainsbury's by a checkout lady (I am very much female) I haven't looked in a mirror since yesterday (or the day before!) just to busy looking after the neddies, but my 'boy's' look great - gleaming in their stable.

I realised that I had mud up my jeans & boots, scrunched back hair, no make up, smelly clothes - yuck!

Right, what to do about this? - haircut, make up, I don't own a skirt so I can't wear one of those things ... what else do I need to be a girl again??

Has this happened to anyone else?

It has not happened to me, but my little girl said she wanted a 'red bag like that mans' in Waitrose, I was mortified, the poor WOMAN was bright red

I think you should go out and buy the flounciest pink skirt you can find, a low cut top (and chicken fillets, if necessary) and return to Sainsbury's to show the checkout girl the error of her ways.

Preferably with a tall, dark, handsome hunk on your arm!!

Good idea, I have to go back on Friday to pick up the dry cleaning, I will shower, put on make up and even brush my hair ... I will be a female on Friday, but then I have to get the horsey ready for a road trip to Aston-Le-Walls, his wadrobe is bigger than mine so I expect by the time we get there settle him into his stable (I'm camping in the smelly lorry) I will be back to being a smelly he/she again!

You should have corrected her, that would have made her feel somewhat stupid

my 2yr old son has taken a liking to my pink lunchbox. and insists on carrying it everywhere with him. he's also got a bit of a 'bowl cut' hair style which when left/dirty/messy looks a bit 'surfer' style (e.g. not short/cropped)

my husband took him to the local shop the other day and barney insisted on taking the pink lunchbox. some old lady came up to my husband and said 'what a lovely little girl'... my husband didn't want to embarrass her and said 'yes, she is'... he was in lots of trouble when he told me the story!

I just told my OH, he nearly died laughing!

I keep thinking about other girls and how they still stay looking like females when they are covered in mud and horse poo!

I used to be a model (about 100 years ago!) so how has this happened to me = I need to get a grip!!!

I suffered something similar the other day - I rung up a company and the letter I got from them a few days later was addressed to a "Mr". i have been speaking in a rather high pitched tone of voice on the phone now ever since haha!!
