My mare has finally done it.
Was out doing xc and she was being difficult between fences (rearing & napping) but jumping pretty well. Unfortunately after a while she got in a total tiz & threw hersef on the ground. I landed clear but awkwardly and have smashed my wrist in two places.

It has been manipulated but I still might need it pinned. So at least 4 weeks off riding - I am sooo annoyed.

thanks guys - lol about ben and jerrys. I would, but at the moment can't hold the carton AND dig the spoon in. Visions of it flying round the lounge!

Had a giggle at the vision of airborne Ben and Jerry's! Will sound quite bad - I'm not icecream obsessed honestly - but I had a similar problem with a wrist fracture a couple of years ago when I fell down the stairs and found wedging the pot between knees for the digging spoon in bit worked a treat

V.v.v.v.v. proud of you for sticking with her - dammit that she managed to break you

!!!!!

If you can't do Ben and Jerrys, Magnums are great for single handed operation

MissTipps, thankies. I may be broken now but I'm not finished with her yet!

To be honest it wasn't a bad fall but like an idiot I forgot to put my hands out so the left one was still in rein holding position when I landed on it!

Now, I just need to find some crazy fool willing to ride her whilst I'm off. Don't fancy my chances!

ew J that sounds really painful thankgod you landed clear though well done you.

She really does have quite a madam attitude i have seen her pull some real stunts with you personally i think you do well with her because she really is a madam at times.
If i had a ned like her i think i would of given up a long time ago you have the patience of a saint, its more annoying that when she is focused and all the ball she really does her job well and enjoys it must be so frustrating.
