I'm a terrible wuss when it comes to jumping. i was never actually taught how to do it, and then I rode the Moose who is scary to jump, lost all my confidence and fell off every time i tried to jump her....so sort of gave up on the whole jumping thing.

I'm just about to move to a yard with AMAZING facilites; big school with a lovely surface, SJing paddock with a full set of proper jumps, AND a load of very inviting XC jumps dotted about the farm. I suddenly really, really want to jump - so I'm going to go for it. I'm going to have some lessons to sort out my appalling technique, and then Ella and i are going to have a fun summer popping over things !

Wish me luck.

Me too !! I have stupidly booked a lesson at 8.30 tomorrow morning at a local riding school. I have not jumped for at least 3 years, and whilst my old girl was a super star and used to look after me, the new boy is far to haughtly to allow me to make him look stupid (he tells you off when you do things wrong - and boy does he tell you off). Good luck and bite the bullet and get going - we can compare bruises (ego or otherwise) another day (lol)
