broke a bone in my foot yesterday as found in X-ray in A&E this am, was convinced wasn't broken, thought just ligaments. Couldn't have done it in a spectacular horse fall, no I just fell over!

Apparently did the same bone as David beckam.

Am well plastered and will be for some weeks. Doh!

Don't wish to upset you. .... But my work mate did same and is on week 7 of plaster and on sick leave! She gets a removable boot next week.. Can't drive at moment tho.

There's a lot of people injured by horses over these past few weeks, I am one of them.
Suspected fractured wrist a fortnight ago,had pot on for two-weeks. Went back today, X-ray wasn't clear so they're now unsure to whether it is fractured or not. Damaged my soft tissue in my wrist and lower hand and have being signed off work for a further 4 weeks. Consultant said if I was still sore and stiff within a month i'm to go back for further x-rays as he wasn't sure. Currently strapped up.

Get well soon OP.

I did that once and still tried to see if i could get my plastered leg into the strirrup!

It was a good job my boy was a placid chap and he would have been fine, it was the otherhalf that threw the tantrum when he found out!

Hope you heal quickly and the inflatable boots are far better than the cast if you can get one

Last year in the snow I tore the ligaments in my ankle. Everyone asked "Did you slip on ice?" - No "Fell of a horse?" -No I just tripped

Hope you feel better soon

Awwwwww get better soon. regards to how it happened cant you elaborate on truth a bit like "well i was leading this crazy stalluon and . . . ." :)

crazycoblady, I hope your injury resolves quickly.

I keep getting tangled up with crutches and two anxious looking Labradors who insist on escorting me everywhere. I think I will be lucky if I don't fall off the crutches and add a broken arm. Blo@dy awful things, crutches, not dogs.

You can't but if you take the stirrup off you can ride with the plaster in the leather.
(Note: do not take health and safety advice from me ;) )

Hope you heal quickly OP
