and she's becoming intolerable

*please note the title is *slightly* tongue in cheek she isn't really being neglected

S has had her shoes off and is due to go out 24/7 from Wednesday (when she moves up to Carmarthen with me waheeyy) but she's feeling neglected because she's not in work anymore.

She is becoming a horrible horse to handle because I can't devote ALL of my attention to her (yard full of horses that also need looking after

)

So yes this was a small whine and and plea for some words of wisdom?

She's never been the happiest out of work anyway but i've been able to cope with her because I have had all my time to 'make her feel loved'

but I just don't have the time now to devote every waking second to her and keeping her ticking over when there is no reason for her to be in work (well I wouldn't even call it work!)

Hopefully she'll calm down when she goes out 24/7 ...

I'm sure she will, horses are happiest when left to be horses (so long as we keep them supplied with plenty of grub

) Lucky Sol's off to be a lady of leisure, is she?

Hang on in there hun

. Little Lad is the same - everyone thought he'd be happy as a pig in ******* being retired, but I thought he'd be bored. And he is! He's now frantic about food, though he definately gets enough to eat. He looks for attention and cuddles people with his neck. And he's becoming rude and bargy again. Pah.

Sorry hun, I digress. Sol will be fine when she's out and with other neds. She'll get over not being an only horse any more lol.

Hugs and hot choccy!

You would think so, wouldn't you, but Be is being an absolute silly being out at grass and in no work. She's got ab lib hay, but no real hard feed (just supplements and balancer) and yet she's bursting out her skin farting about every single day at the mo

Oh Star is driving me nuts at the moment. She really doesn't know what to do with herself when she is out of work. Even get a reproachful look when I turn her out in the morning, then she is squawking to come in by 3 pm.

I am just spending a lot of time over grooming and dedicated fussing of her. She needs that interaction or get's really offish and worried, won't eat etc etc.

What a precious!

Is she not in work due to lack of time or retirement/injury? If it's lack of time, what about finding someone to come down and ride her etc and make a general fuss. They would then either feel obliged to pay you or help with yard duties meaning less poo for you to clean!!

No, she is off work at the moment with an infection. Unfortunately "someone" doesn't cut it with her either lol. It has to be Mummy although I get bowled over by her on the way to Daddy

She is just special lol
