I have now found out what a troll is and I am not one.
I am just a lonely lady with some spare money that wants to fullfill a dream.
I didn't know that people were willing to share their horses so I am thinking that this might be the road I go down until I am able to get a horse of my own.
I have got some contracters coming round to see about fencing a field off at the back of my house. I have quite a bit of land so it shouldn't be a problem.
I thought I may get a little pony as a companion to my horse when I buy it.
How much space would I need for an indoor school so that I can have lessons?

And I am not a daemon.
Ha!

Welcome back SEER, looks like this is going to be fun again.

I honestly can't work out if you are genuine or not, but some people on here have given you good advice and you seem to have listened, so good for you.

Well yes it is my garden but I have a big garden. Its very hard to explain!!!!!
A bit of fencing etc and i'd have a paddock

I'd say you'd want at least an 80m by 40m indoor school if you have the space. 3 or 4 acres of land for 2 horses.... then space for your stables/hay barn etc as your garden shed probably wouldn't be big enough for 2 horses.

I have my ponies in my garden! not by choice mind you they pushed the electric fence down because the grass was greener in the garden!
Electric fence broke and ive now given up keeping 4 tanks with legs out of the garden and in the field.

Thank you seahorse. I really am sorry if I caused trouble yesterday it wasn't intentional. I really don't have any horsey friends that I can go to for advise and I obviously got it all wrong.
Your horse is stunning by the way.

I know I shouldn't feed the troll but......

If your garden is just over an acre it is not enough land for two horses and an indoor school - you will not get the planning permission for it (as you would have to have stables/shelters for both the horses).

If you are geninue then take the advice that has been given to you and go to a riding school and have more riding lessons and see if you can have lessons on horse management. You wouldn't want to be cruel and getting an animal with no idea of what you are doing and without proper help is cruel and could potentially be dangerous

Welcome back trolly....so what great entertainment do you have for us all today??? Im am having a very bad day already i would love something good to laugh at!!!

So what 10,000 pony are you planning on buying then???

If you are genuine, I would advise going to a BHS registered riding school and get lessons there and see how you go before deciding to undertake any major work at your property.

You an also gain more 'hands on' experience by doing a horse share (that's what I'm currently doing

I am taking in all the advice thank you.
Like I said I just want to fullfill a dream and have no horsey friends to ask.
I have been phoning round schools and have found one that will let me loan a horse for 2 / 3 days of the week. I'm off to have a look this afternoon. I really can't wait. Can anyone give me any advice of what to say or do? I went to the local tack shop this morning and kitted myself out. I bought a nice pair of long leather boots and a really nice hat.

Do you think i'd be able to ride him then? Is he a school master? ( I think thats what they are called!!)

The best thing is to be honest about your level of ability - if you lie and say you are better then you are then you will soon be found out

Thank you. Its nice that some people can be kind. I just don't understand why others (that amy person for one) aren't.

Sorry I don't understand I am trying to be honest and I get comments like that. How do you put people on ignore user?

Like I said yesterday I have had a few lessons and can do rising trot and did a little bit of canter. The riding school I was at said we would jump next time but I didn't like the instructor.
