Today I rode my new tb mare for the first time. My instructor ( a 4* event rider ) rode her first to get a feel for her, then I rode her. She's not been in ridden work for 8 years and she was absolutely PERFECT. She went forward when I asked, and slowed with just the slightest touch. She never spooked, napped or did anything naughty. I am soooooo happy. We have a long way to go to get her looking good but I am just ecstatic to have finally found my soul mate :)

Pretty girly , must admit though her neck makes me cringe soo tiny!
 
That's wonderful :D

She actually looks very similar to my TB mare (slightly different white face marking) who also has a skinny neck.

She's pulling quite an expression in the photo! ;)
