6 Months of box rest then limited t/o later my horse is being ridden again.
I have a very different attitude towards him. I nearly lost him several times and the thing i was most annoyed about was the fact i have pretty much let him rule my riding, If something is going to wind him up i tend to avoid it because i dont want to push him to a point i get thrown off!

Now i have decided I am in charge, we have a second chance and i will turn him into the horse i want!

I'm not really sure what he does because no-one else will ride him so i never see it, but we appear to half rear (really not high) then push off with his back feet,as if about to jump whilst going sideways. Its done quite quickly over and over, swinging from side to side. In normal circumstances i would get him going more forward and put him into a fast trot until he was calmer but he's only allowed to walk- any ideas on hoe to ride through this?!

Honestly? I would slam my heals into the little so and so ,so hard it took his breath away . Ride him forward ,hard. !Its not easy I know, but the best way is to ride them forward through these evasions.
