i am so angry- today i got accused of stealing! its a long (and possibly very boring story
shocked.gif
) but i just have to get it off my chest!
when i was on my old livery yard 4 of us (including the YM) clubbed together for some jumps. which YM then let her mates use and so a lot of paint got chipped. anyway, when me and another girl left we took some with us- leaving just over half of the jumps there. we thought that was fair enough. we left in may, nothing was said.

so fast forward to now- the other person left on saturday and took the rest of the jumps with them- i think they forgot the YM had contributed to them- so today i gets a text which says

"I noticed all the jumps have been taken. thought we had an equal share, why have i not been left with any"?

now i can totally see where she's coming from but what the hell has it to do with me?!!
mad.gif
i replied and said what i'd taken in may was just under half and if there was a problem she should have said something then. so i gets a reply that says its the rest of them going she's angry at and that i was up there at the weekend (briefly to see someone) and "might know what had happened to them"

now is it just me or is she accusing me of taking the jumps?!!!

i got really angry and told her so. i just cannot beleive the cheek of some people. amazingly i have had no apology

i really don't want people thinking i am a thief tho!
what would you do?!

But surely you DO know what happened to them? The person who left on Saturday took them! Why didn't you just tell her that and that you and X took your half when you left in May?

Texts can be so easily misconstrued, so i do not know what exactly her tone was, but i can understand you feeling peeved.
It is most hurtful when you are accused of something like that, when it was some other tea leaf or something completely made up.

At my last yard, i was accused by YO's 5yr old of stealing a shavings fork!! I marched up to the house and asked where the 5yr old would have got this slanderous statement from!
When i left i took my damn shavings fork with me, god knows what YO did with hers, but i was deeply hurt by this, because as they say 'from the mouth of babes..'
Slanderous cow!!
Sorry, i hi-jack ranted for a moment there, just trying to empathise really

i didn't know til i'd rung up the person in question to ask...i was thinking initially that it was about what we took in may and was like "why are you bringing this up 3 months down the line" and regardless, its the accusation that i must have them thats peed me off..... what i don't get is why SHE couldn't have rung the other person to find out before accusing me!

To be fair she didn't actually accuse you of stealing. She might genuinly just be wondering why the other person took the jumps, if there was a conversation had with you on Satruday as the other co owner that let them feel justified in doing so etc, etc. She is probably furious herself about not having anything left. I'm sure she doesn't have a problem with you in particular, because as you said, she would have said something in May. Its the person who cleaned her out without so much as a by your leave she's annoyed at. I now I sound like a fogey, but texting is not a great way of sorting stuff like this out, its too open to misinterpretation.

LOL Puss in Boots...thats how i was today, storming about in a mood. i just don't know what it has to do with me- i left 3 months ago....surely i would have taken them then if i'd wanted them?! ha

oh i totally agree. i tried to ring her back but she didn't answer

i just think it had nothing to do with me - i wasn't really co-owner anymore since i left...its wierd because she texted the actual person who took them to apologise for her tone but not me or my friend. wierd. its no wonder all the liveries are jumping ship with a YM who can't conduct a normal conversation....

Totally agree. If you have a problem with some one you need to be adult enough to speak to them about face to face or if not, over the phone. I've got a wicked temper and if I flamemailed every time I thought some one had wronged me without checking it out first, I'd have a contract on my head by now!

I can see it must have been bl00dy annoying - she sounds like a nutter and I agree , she should have rung the other person first if she had no quibble with you in May!

tell me about it slinks! fortunately we rescued my piggie shaped filler before he could be subjected to any more lunacy. he now happily lives with his other filler friends at my nice new yard!!

Bit of a mix up there - she shouldn't have done a text as they are notoriously easy to misconstrue, but there should have been four people and four only (the co-owners) jumping the jumps.

She is right to be cross about the disappearance of the remaining half - I am sure you didn't take more than your rightful amount
wink.gif
but a bit naughty pouncing on you just because you were there at the weekend. I'd say slightly paranoid and rather cross. I'd be a bit the same myself but go about my detective work in a more reasonable fashion.

Could you not tell her where they are?

i just said that she should ask the livery who left this weekend as presume that she must have them...i would have thought that was the more obvious assumption to make personally...
shocked.gif
thing is she was always scared of said livery and not of me- hence why i got the blame i think
