Just been down to bring my ponies in, in the pouring rain. Total disaster!
I forgot that when I got the little rescue pony he didn't like my yellow reflective jacket, he's been fine for over a year now. Unfortunately I ripped it last week and just got a new one, arrived in the field and he took one look and fled the scene. Genuinely terrified even with me talking and trying to reassure him it was me, I tried to corner him (gently) and he bolted right into the electric fence (luckily switched off). My cob was getting pretty shirty by this point wanting his dinner, tried to take the cob and come back for the pony and the pony was stressing out completely, he's only recently recovered from laminitis and really not what he needs. So I had to take my coat off and bring him in minus a coat, during a yellow weather warning for heavy rain. I'm not sure I've ever been so wet!
Sorry, on my own tonight and just wanted to vent to someone. A bit of spook-busting needed tomorrow morning I think!
