I am soooo worried...........

My dog Pippa has been leaving little balls of poo all over the house which have been getting stuck around her bottom- I checked her over in the bath and the skin around her bottom feels 'odd'' slightly lumpy is the best way to describe it- I am hoping that she is just compacted/constapated but as she is 16 years old I am worried that it may be something horrific. I am going to take her to the vets today but will be worrying all day about her!
Doea any one have any experience of older dogs stuggling to go to the toilet? She is fed Bakers complete dry food and that is what she has always had.could it be time for a change?

She is Bearded collie x - sort of Heinz 57 type!

I have just booked her in with the vet and the receptionist thought she might need an x-ray! Fingers crossed she is just a bit blocked up!

Nothing comes to my mind, only wanted to say I hope all goes well at the vet.
Remember, only because they're old, everything doesn't have to = the end. Saying that though, if I had a 16 year old dog, that's exactly what I'd presume, so I have full sympathy for your worry.
