Just found this online. I owned Winston for two years bought from a friend. He was used as my riding cob and then I tried him in harness, turns out he knew more than me. It came apparent that this was his career not a ridden one. I planned to sell him. I was approached by someone searching for new carriage horses on Sark and a friend recommended Winston to him. I thought long and hard about how far he would have to get to sark but the man reassured me he would go to stay so said yes. So here in this blog is my old boy, doing a job he loved, driving and in doubt getting lots of fuss from tourists!!!! Defo right place for him!!!

I watched the Martin Clunes 'Islands of Britain' series where he took the horse driving test, just wondered if it was this horse, looked it up and wasn't, was a horse called Toby, but I bet Winston knows him!
