So I was going to be so good....and I wasn't going to say anything until I picked him up....but as usual I cannot keep quiet! I was reflecting recently and I realised that George is 12 now, so really he needs another terrier friend before he gets too grouchy and miserable to tolerate another dog? I cannot begin to say how much I love him (you may have noticed!) in a totally unexpected way, my greyhounds will always be ultra special to me and I never thought a little gob shite terrier would come along like this :p But he has truly made his unique terrier mark in my life and I love him SO much... so although I know I have him for a good few years yet, he needed an understudy :D

Meet "Spot" - one week old, its all my friends fault, 8F321FA8-61F4-46CF-BCBF-44417ADE381A.jpeg20A1A997-27FB-4A63-8119-28EF05832F3B.jpegbless her :) :) But please help me think of a better name over the next 7-9 weeks before he joins me, he was either "Spot" or "Triangle" to tell him apart :D :D :D

So jealous! I am missing a little terrorist in my life so much. Plan is underfoot to get a rescue one in a few weeks but I would NOT be able to resist one of those they are adorable. I shall put my thinking cap on for an original name.
We had a JRT with very similar markings - we eventually decided on Humphrey as we felt it gave him a little more gravitas among our very much larger dogs. He was often called at the top of our voices as come here NOW Sir Humphrey! :D

OMG! Hahahahahaha... I can't believe it! Oh wait, actually yes I can :p

LOL :D :D The main reason I was intending to keep quiet was because i feel wracked with guilt about George - I adore him so much and I am SO worried he will think I don't love him any more if the new pup arrives! Of COURSE that won't be the case - so loads of extra hugs for George and all the other dogs when pup arrives!

OH MY GOD! I am soooooo jealous! Lucky you and lucky George!

Aww, that is a cute puppy potato you've found there!

Aw, that is lovely Squee!! :):) I simply cannot recommend another, better name than Spot as all of my grandfather's JRTs were called Spot. Except for the one called Chomby (??!!!). Spot may well be fantastic for George and will certainly be wonderful for you. He is teeny, tiny so doesn't really qualify as an 'extra' or 'additional' dog either!! :):) I bet you can't wait till you can collect him. :) On the 'Spot' or 'Triangle' theme, one of the nicest dogs I have ever known was actually called 'Oblong'...

Sweet little pup. Just out off interest as I haven't much experience of Greyhounds and lurchers, how will they cope with a small squeaky creature? I thought they were very prey driven. Will they see the pup as prey? Obviously once pup is bigger it would be less of a problem but will they see it as a rabbit or similar?

Oh yes - there will be absolutely NO unsupervised contact of ANY kind for a number of months when I get him home, he would be less than a mouthful for Ace who is 38kg!

I’m lucky that they are used to George now so they tend to ignore small dogs entirely now, but it was certainly an issue when I got George and I have the videos that show that ?

Luckily I’m very used to keeping dogs separated, I know very well that I will have to be incredibly careful though.....the consequences of not being are too horrible to contemplate ?

Thank you. Just wondered as don't know much about that type of dog other than the ex racers can be a problem with small animals.
