I have been looking for a safe pony, between 13.2hh and 15hh, which is laid back, can live out, and will do all pony club activity up to about 2"3 for the most increadibly horse loving but nervous boy on my yard for MONTHS - it is actually a joke.

At risk of sounding very old, whatever happened to the vary safe, hairy, heinz 57 type pony that I grew up riding?

I am desperate to give one a home, it will have a massive, safe field, two friends to go out with, a very loving loanee, a very responsible yard owner, and lots and lots of fun. 5* home that can be vetted, laid back, quiet life. I doubt very much it will do much more than hack and jump 1"6 every so often.

Argh! Can anyone help? Any ideas?

The poor child I am looking for comes to my yard every day without fail to groom and muck out, and doesnt have a pony to ride...he really needs a confidence boost.

I cant really, as it is for a child on my yard. His parents have bought him 2 ponies now and both have ended in disaster as they were the complete wrong pony for him, a really really sharp section B and a haflinger that he couldnt hold and used to run off with him both on the ground and under saddle- he is 15 but more like a 12 year old, TINY, and has had the confidence knocked out of him completely, so need to find him a loan pony which is completely right for him.

whereabouts in surrey are you? im looking to loan my pony out for 6months to a year poss longer while i go travelling but i wouldnt want him to move too far from where he is now. he is a great confidence giver and lots of fun although im not sure he would be quite enough if he is really that nervous? the ad for him is on horsequest the dun gelding on the horses to loan page, but i am considering letting him move now as not getting a lot of interest
