Do you think it has made other road users more aware of you

Okay, here is the situation. Lad at the mo has the below clip. He is starting to moult. He lives out and is rugged up. I don't show or anything but someone has said that it would help his summer coat if I did a full clip. As in he will hang onto his winter coat for ages.

It may well be that even when summer coat is through that I will end up giving him some sort of clip as he gets very sweaty all year round.

What do you guys advise ?

I know this has been done to death but really can't decide !!

He gets hacked or schooled at the weekend and a couple of schooling sessions through the week.

Given the amount of work he does and the fact that he has started moulting already I would leave it, you run the risk of ending up with what I call 'pig skin' summer coat where the coat grows all coarse and horrible.

But I know there are a few people on here would would be happy to clip now and indeed people who clip all year round quite happily plus if you don't show it doesn't really matter what his summer coat ends up like....

If he were mine I'd leave it.

i think that too many clip un-necessary, if you only ride at weekends would prob leave, if riding most days then full clip

um, well i sed other, because i don't really have a clue about clipping as my horse has never needed to be clipped. But personally i would leave it, purely because i think he looks really sexy and smart in it!!!!!!!!!!

It's up to you - he's your horse, however I personally would never clip any horse of mine who has already started shedding.
