The rule on the yard is we can only turnout (in winter) when the ground is firm so I said we could all turnout out on Saturday and they have been out everyday since. We turned out yesterday and it started raining and never stopped so I kept them all in today and it is nice and firm and hasn’t put any rain down.

I don’t mind the mad weather i just wish the forecast could be more accurate so i could stand a chance. I am doing my best to get them all out as much as possible without upsetting the YO by trashing his land, impossible.

Pointless post.

I know, its driving us mad too. We are the opposite, ours luckily can go out every day but when its rock hard and rutted, YO doesnt want them out because of injuries. So after all the snow, we finally got them out again, then it went really icey and ground was rock hard so they are stuck in again. Went out yesterday for a few hours and its frozen again today with more snow forecast

My yard has all year turnout. It's not pretty but it's better imo then being in.

I would probably move yards if you don't have good turnout through winter, as it's top of my list when it comes to livery yards (that and a floodlit school/hacking)

I turn mine out everyday whether it's hard, dry, wet or frosty. My paddocks have suffered in all this horrible weather but I don't have lunatic horses. Turnout is top of my list when it comes to yards, and if it's not available 365 days a year I won't consider the place!
