Do you ever think something is wrong with your horse, but you cant quite put your finger on it?
Ive had a "feeling" for a week or so about my cob, she has no symptoms to speak off, she is eating well, pooing and peeing as normal etc
She just seems oh i dont know its hard to explain, she just isnt herself? so if i ring the vet what do i say? Should i continue to monitor her? or should i get her blood tested?
Or should i worry when i know have something to worry about? Any thoughts?

I have known something was wrong with Lucy several times when everyone else thought she was fine. The first time it turned out she had EHV. The second time she had a very very very bad bacterial infection of the gut and all this summer i thought Lucy wasn't quite herself and now she has her illness.
If you are very worried a blood test won't do any harm or you can moniter the situation. You know your horse. When Lucy had her bacterial infection my vets thought i was mad as Lucy was doing 80km endurance rides and seemed to be coping to everyone else but i knew she wasn't right. The vets where shocked when they saw her blood test results and it took 5 courses of baytrill to shift the infection.

I'd certainly listen to your own gut feelings K. There is no-one in the universe that knows a horse inside out and back to front like the owner. If you think something isn't quite right, then pound to a penny, it isn't. You could record pulse, breathing, temperature every day for say a week as well as maybe trotting her up to look for lameness, watching her eat, watching to see if she's straining to poo/pee at all. Run your hands over every part of her body quite firmly and watch for reactions and/or lumps, bumps and heat. Watch her hay/lage and water consumption rate. Record anything odd for eg 7 days and review. Fingers crossed it's something that her body will sort out itself x
