Not a horse related injury, but one which prevents me from riding!
Have a painful injury/condition called osteitis pubis, it hurts my pelvis, can't ride at the mo with it, my boy has had a nice holiday in the field for the last 3 weeks but i really want to ride. We were really making so much progress with dressage and had just started jumping!
And have just been told there is a 26 week (!!) NHS waiting list to see the consultant. BUT if I pay I can see him next week (£200 to see him privately for a session). So feeling a bit low and depressed tbh! :'(
They're going to try and prescribe me some meds, which if they work, I will hopefully be back in the saddle fairly soon, but if not then I don't know when I'll be able to ride, so need to find someone to exercise him for me too And it hurts when I muck out, carry haynets, etc, but I can't afford any assisted livery.
Sorry for this feeling sorry for myself post but I've heard the horse and hound vibes can do wonders so if anyone wants to send any my way would be much appreciated! Thanks for reading xx
