I have ridden my horse for the first time since September! He was a little fresh but it was so nice, had a lovely plod round the farm and through the wood. Fingers crossed he stays well and I don't break any bones again!
Loved it :)

So come on those who said they were going to ride today for the first time in a while.... Did you? And how did it go?

Happy New Year!!

Yeay, well done! We did it too and both had a great time. Only saw one person the whole time and she stopped and gave him a fuss which he was thrilled about :)

Happy New Year x

I started my girl again on Saturday and after three days of just walking she was rather fresh today! Decided to make her do a bit of work, quite a bit of trotting and actually using herself soon reverted her back into the nice, calm, relaxed pony I know and love! She got a bit of a sweat on so time to be clipped I think, good thing I like clipping :D

I rode my mare today who has had December off work. I tried to take it slow in the school but she had other ideas! After a lovely walk and stretch I popped her onto trot which quickly manifested into a mixture of small bucks, rears and throw her feet around as she was so excited and not sure which to do first! Never dangerous or worrying simply whoopee and off round the school in a xc canter for 15 or so laps with flying changrs! Made me grin like a Cheshire cat :D . She then settled and worked beautifully!

I took my pony for his first proper drive out round the village, 5 miles in total. Its his 5th time out but we've only been doing quiet 1 milers but today i bit the bullet and we had a fabulous time, not bad for a newly broken 4yr old :)
