After much consideration and only 2 days advertising on project horses, my girl has the most wonderful new home only 20 miles away :-) there were lots of tears shed from everyone as we said an emotional goodbye but I couldn't have wished for a more perfect home. Here's to the next chapter ....

Ah bless, well done. Couldn't have been easy but the sensivle option often isn't. Look forward to hearing about the new one when it appears!! xx

Aww, it make take a couple weeks to sink in. I'm sure you have done the right thing. Good luck with finding another, take your time to make sure it's right :)

15.2-16.3, 5-10yo, basic schooling in place and scope to pop a fence. 2k max realistic budget, would stretch a little for my perfect horse! Happy with something that needs educating but no rearers or unbroken ones please :-D not fussed on sex, breed or colour. I would like to do lower levels affil sj in time but looking more for a general allrounder for beach fun, xc rides, bareback races and general enjoyment!! Do you think I'm being a bit optimistic?

LOL, maybe a tad optimistic, but it is doable in your budget, I'm sure.
I was asking as I think I have just the ticket, but TBH, with your budget you could buy one leg of her... well maybe nearly two :D
I'll keep my ears open.

I think you will find something :), your a good rider so doesn't matter if the horse needs educating/ has a few minor issues. Sounds as if temprement is the main thing! Our boys didn't cost much, R was 1.8k and J was 2.5k. I think if you are careful to buy something you feel you 'know' straightaway and you click it's easy to work through any minor issues :). Jae was just a gorgeous little pickle, I wanted to put my arms round him and squeeze him untill he popped right from the word go! Ask Pebbles to tell you the story of how my mum met R, very funny!
:)
Both were from word of mouth. It's much more risky buying cheap horses but it can be
done :). You also have to go with gut instinct a lot more as you won't be getting the finished product :)

Not unrealistic at all, might have one coming up depending if his current loaner can raise the funds in the next few weeks or so :) I didn't want to sell him but I might have to for the pennies as he's a real sweetie
